What is CLASS?

The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) can help you choose the best child care provider for your family.

CLASS measures the quality of interactions between teachers and students. These interactions lead to higher-quality teaching practices that improve your child’s learning experience. A higher CLASS score means teachers are engaging students in positive ways, including friendly interactions, sensitivity to children’s needs and feelings, consistent rules and routines, and positive behavior support.
